Emma has moved into the next room at school! Such a big girl. She seems to be enjoying it too. She played for longer and napped for longer today. Interestingly, she’s also eating somewhat less. It may be a combo of the solids she’s eating (oatmeal & banananana for breakfast; carrots for dinner) and, as one of her new teachers said, she was getting bored – but when she cried, her old teachers thought she was hungry. We’ll see!

So, we haven’t posted in a while. It turns out that blogging suffers when an infant enters the house…at least, for us. Facebook statuses are just so much easier to keep up with! But when I realized Emma had her half birthday and the last post was welcoming her to the world, I decided Something Must Be Done! (Sure, that was almost 2 weeks ago now, please don’t point that out.)

Emma has of course grown a lot. If you haven’t seen her in person, you can check out pictures over on the picture blog. She’s sitting up, eating oatmeal and carrots, and saying “babababa” a lot. And that’s a pretty good summary of our life right now. :-)

Please give a big welcome to the newest addition to Team Fitzgerald!  Emma Louise greeted the world at 1:33pm on February 26 with a nice loud yell.  She’s very talented at eating, limiting her parents’ sleep, awkward timing of waste elimination, and being the most adorable thing we’ve ever seen.  Here are some pictures of her, if you don’t believe me!

Charis threw me a lovely baby shower yesterday.  It was great seeing everyone!  We got such a lot of cute & useful baby stuff.  These pictures are especially for Grandma (soon to be the Great-Grandma!) who couldn’t make it.

Thanks everyone!

We’ve been uber busy lately getting stuff done around the house to prepare for the baby and to make the house comfortable for us while we’re adjusting to the change that arrives with said baby. Here are a couple of pictures to show off some of what we’ve done.

We’re currently at D-7 weeks, and Momma is feeling fine.
