1 year ago today, we defied Mother Nature and her hurricanes, and successfully had our wedding! Wow, this year has gone fast. But we've enjoyed each other's company and we love being married! What did we do today?

We had brunch at Birraporetis, which has an awesome buffet-style brunch with custom-made omelets and really good desserts. Then we went to see the Alley Theater's production of Much Ado about Nothing. It was a whimsical adaptation, complete with motorcycle gear-clad soldiers and balloons galore. It was fun.

On our way home we visited and fed Gideon (Charis' cat, aka Hell Kitty). Charis and Byron are in Japan (Charis for work, Byron for fun) this week. When we got home, we watched an episode of Discovery: Atlas: Italy, and marvelled at many of the sites we saw this past summer in person. This show is a great use of the HD technology, and we really enjoy seeing it.

Finally, we wrapped up the night with a couple of bites of our wedding cake top. It sat in our freezer for a year. We were a little reluctant to taste it (especially considering we forgot to take off the flowers that were on top!), but the cake itself wasn't too bad. The icing was gross, so we only had a small taste of that. After a couple of bites, we declared our duty complete, and cleansed our palettes with halloween candy.
