I have sad news to report today. A good friend of mine passed away on Tuesday. Nick Gonzales was the leader of our group of Aerospace Engineering students at the University of Texas at Austin that became known as Austin Aerospace Association. He was an usher in our wedding, and I was in his wedding.

For those of you who don't know, Nick was diagnosed with a brain tumor around this time last year. The prognosis wasn't good, but he fought through it and, by March 2006, was declared cancer free. However, in early November another brain tumor appeared, and sent Nick back to the hospital. He fought hard, but this time he lost the battle.

He leaves behind his wife, Anne, his sons, Jordan (4) and Jonah (2), and many family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Please keep Nick and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
