Another new garden

This past weekend we decided to do a project. We created a new garden in the front yard. Looking at other yards in our neighborhood, it seemed the houses with gardens around their trees had healthier trees than those that didn't. Plus, one of the sago palms in the front garden was starting to get too big. It was threatening to encroach on the walkway to the front door. So it got moved.

We intend to put some sort of centerpiece between the sago palm and the oak tree (it's a Live Oak, for those that are curious). Possibly a artfully placed clay pot on its side, or a bird bath. Who knows. We're still looking. Let us know if you have any ideas!

Love it! Your home looks lovely and VERY inviting! We are going to get there one of these months! Impressed you know what a "live oak" is. Glad you identified it.

That looks great! Maybe you did get the green thumb from your dad. We'll have to come see it in person.

With all the rain we have had this week, the Sago is starting to lean a bit. We'll probably need to fill in some holes around it this weekend...or whenever it stops raining!
