Yup, still here
Nothing much going on to report at home. Work is still pretty insane. I've had a night shift (one night) each of the last two weeks, and have another this week. Travis is doing the same, although he didn't have to do one this past week. It's kind of crazy when Travis has to tell someone he's not going out to happy hour "because I haven't seen my wife awake in two days." We've seen each other...just not while the other one is conscious.
Not that this is terribly exciting, noteworthy news...it's just the kind of silliness that makes for really long weeks of work. The kind that, at the end of, you flop down and wonder if you actually accomplished anything. The kind that makes for really relaxed weekends. :-)
We did get to the waterpark, though! What a gorgeous day, if a mite cool for a water day. Spent most of our time in the lazy river. We went on one ride. Spent the entire chilly 25 minute wait behind a hoard of 13 year olds. Wow. It's been awhile. Just...wow. The ride wasn't worth it.
The crawfish boil afterwards was pretty good, though. Travis ate some of the second batch (always spicier than the first, folks!) and decided it was prudent not to try to put those contacts back in this morning. A new set works just fine, thanks! (He learned his lesson one night after chopping jalepenos for salsa, then trying to take out his contacts. Yikes.)
