30 Years Ago, in a galaxy far, far away
Today is the 30th Anniversary of the release of the first movie of the greatest movie series of all time: Star Wars (later renamed Star Wars: A New Hope then Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope).
Today is also the first day you can buy Star Wars stamps from the US Postal Service.
