King of the Feeder
This weekend, Michelle got a picture of the hummingbird that has found our feeder. This one seems to like sitting on the perch. I’d always thought they didn’t stop flying to feed. Either this one is lazy, or I was wrong.

Hey Travis and Michelle,
Saw the hummingbird picture and wanted you to know that they do sit on the feeders - we have several hummingbirds that come to our feeders. Usually don't sit because they are very aggressive birds and usually chase each other off the feeders. Anyway the picture is great - I can never get to the camera fast enough to take pictures. Next time try sugar water - 3 parts water to 1 part sugar - they like much better than the red food from the store. There is no nutritional value in the red stuff from store - read that in the Chronicle so must be true (ha). Anyway we seemed to have attracted more when we switched to the plain sugar water. We leave ours up all year round as we have a couple that never leave. Anyway - enjoy. Janet
