Travis and Michelle Fitzgerald's blog

Well, we haven’t intentionally ignored our audience. We just haven’t had a whole lot to write about. I’ve been working on R2 (see the other blog for details), Michelle has been reading, and we’ve both been playing our computer games.

We also went to the STS-124/1J crew debrief event at Space Center Houston. They usually do this event 2-3 weeks after landing, and it’s an opportunity for the crew to give some awards to people that made a significant impact to the flight. Michelle’s OSO team (led by Lisa) received an award for their hard work. Michelle was included, even though she wasn’t officially assigned to this flight. But she helps out where she’s needed, so she deserves it.

On July 4 I went to Space Center Houston to hang out (in costume) with the new Star Wars: the Clone Wars exhibit. It was fun. Michelle was going to come hang out, but she ended up having to do a little work from home. Such is the glamorous life of an ISS Flight Controller.

Well I guess I proved myself wrong, apparently we did have something to write to you about. Oh well, we will try to post more often next time.
