One more time, with feeling!
Surprise! Another big storm is headed our way. Right now the predictions have Hurricane Ike making landfall southwest of Galveston. That would put us on the “dirty” side of the storm, so the rotation of the storm will push a higher storm surge our way.
As always, we’re getting prepared at work, and we’re ready if we need to board up the house and evacuate. I think Wednesday or early Thursday we will make the call on whether to evacuate or not. We will keep you posted!

One more thing. Did I mention we are in a drought here in South Texas? Kinda ironic, don’t ya think?
