Mission Extended
Well, Michelle has been working hard for the past couple of weeks, but an end is in sight. But…the end got a little bit further away today. For various reasons, they extended the mission an extra day, which means that instead of undocking on Thursday, the Shuttle will undock on Friday. So, Michelle will get the privilege of spending her Thanksgiving in Mission Control.
Don’t worry about us, though. We’d already arranged to celebrate our Thanksgiving on Friday at my parent’s house. And Michelle’s Mom and brother will be flying in Thanksgiving day. Looks like they get to spend their day with me. 
Oh, and they get to watch the UT vs A&M football game with me, too.

Hope they plan to cater a Turkey dinner to Mission Control! Or at least a turkey sandwich. I am sure Sue and Robert will enjoy hanging out with you, and I might add you have a couple of UT supporters here.

Yes, our management is usually very good about providing for the people on console during holidays. During one holiday (a couple of Thanksgivings ago), three different management teams each brought in a complete meal. They have since learned to plan better. :) But it was a good problem to have.
And if they don't get anything, I'll take them something to celebrate the holiday.

It was a terrific Thanksgiving celebration! UT won, we got to celebrate the end of the mission and have a wonderful dinner with the Fitzgeralds.
